Painting Center Invitational

by melissa on November 29, 2010

The Painting Center is pleased to announce a benefit exhibition, Artists Invite Artists; Small Works Invitational. The Painting Center, which has been in existence since 1993, moved from its original Greene Street location last year and re-opened in Chelsea in April 2010. The Painting Center continues to present shows organized by its members and by outside curators as well as invitationals drawn from image files and the artist community at large.

For this exhibit each member artist of The Painting Center invited 10 artists or more to show one work each no larger than 16″ x 16″. The salon-style exhibition reflects the stimulating visual discourse of an extended community of painters in New York City and beyond. It is also an opportunity for our friends to join these more than 100 artists in supporting The Painting Center. The show opens on November 30 with a reception on Thursday, December 2 and closes with a party on December 18th from 6pm-8pm.
