Luminescence was an art exhibit held at "In Good Company" an alternative venue for art. I showed with the artist Susan Ross. All of the work in the show was filled with light and sparkle. The Line Series incorporates collage, marker, colored pencil and different water based paints on paper. The surface and hue of the paper determines the beginning of the drawing. I am arranging lines on paper with collage by cutting out hand painted papers and gluing them down. If collage is not present than layers of media are used. Physically I cut in places that bring a voice to the line. The starts and stops of line in my work have been compared to bamboo and other flora. The use of different mediums gives each work specific sheen that is not easily seen in reproductions. * This is a selection of the work
